The location of this hotel was fantastic, with plenty of nearby attractions and activities to enjoy. We were also pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of the accommodations. It was clear that the staff put in effort to maintain a high standard. the communication with the owner was excellent, as they provided helpful suggestions and recommendations for food and things to do in the area.
One aspect that could be improved upon is the lack of privacy in the rooms. Thicker curtains would have been appreciated, as the bright morning sun easily seeped in and woke us up earlier than desired.

The self-catering annexe at Barton was perfect for our stay. Upon arrival, Jan warmly welcomed us and gave us a tour of the well-equipped property. The location was easy to find, and there was ample parking available. We were impressed by the thoughtful touches such as fresh fruit, biscuits, and chocolates waiting for us. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we had the best sleep in a long time. The owners, Jan and Paul, were friendly and provided us with valuable information about the surrounding areas. we felt comfortable and welcome at Barton Annexe. We will definitely be returning, this time with our grandchildren to enjoy the beautiful surrounding area.
Drawbacks: There was really nothing to fault about this wonderful stay, except for maybe the need for thicker curtains on the windows. It got quite bright in the mornings due to the sunny weather we were fortunate to have.

I recently stayed at a lovely villa in Somerton and had a wonderful experience. The spacious Annexe was immaculately clean and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The fully equipped kitchen was a pleasant surprise, with tea, coffee, milk. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and there was plenty of storage space for my belongings. The shower was hot and powerful, ensuring a refreshing start to the day. The communication with the owner was excellent, and they even gave suggestions for nearby restaurants and activities.
If I had to be picky, I would say that the windows could have had thicker curtains to block out the early morning sunlight.
